We therefore offer three distinct ways to receive our CPD accredited training, the SPD Training Academy, live training courses ran remotely approximately two – three times a month, or at regular industry events.
The SPD Training Academy is a free to access resource. Simply register and you will gain access to a range of pre-recorded training modules covering a range of topics including lightning vs surges, installation of SPD’s and many more.

Most months Surge Protection Devices offer two – three live online training sessions which last approximately one hour. These training sessions offer a more interactive form of learning with the opportunity to ask questions as you go along. The sessions are CPD accredited and will count towards your mandatory hours.
All our live sessions are run by our Technical Director, Kirsty Johnson MIET.
Kirsty is regularly invited to industry events as an industry expert on the field of surge and lightning protection if you are attending any of the events that Kirsty is attending, we strongly suggest that you attend her talks.

All training sessions are given by Kirsty Johnson MIET, Surge Protection Devices, Technical Director. Kirsty has been working in the field of surge protection for over 12 years and has been our Technical Director for over seven years. Kirsty is well known within the industry and the foremost expert on all things of surge and lightning protection.
Kirsty also sits on the JPEL panel to assist with the wiring regulations, meaning she is well placed to give training on Surge Protection to the latest regulations.
